SubscribeWe are already into the second week of the new year and just realized we hadn’t heard what color Pantone chose for this year’s Color of the Year. So we immediately looked it up and discovered Tangerine Tango is the big winner. I’m pretty happy with their selection. It’s very warm and energetic. I’ve already been seeing it everywhere including in some fashion and home decor products, unlike last year’s honeysuckle pink. And I think it would be great to color a wall or two in this lovely orange color.
House Happy: Hanging fireplaces
Winter’s here and definitely not going anywhere soon which makes me think of anything warm and toasty. Like hot chocolate and electric blankets. And while those two things are amazing they just can’t compete with this beautiful fireplace from Cocoon Fires I discovered while flipping through the latest Dwell magazine. It would be sooo nice to have this in our living room to stay warm by!
Dutch Magazines
A belated Happy New Year to everyone! Hope your holidays were fun and that many good things happen in 2012 for all of us! Speaking of good things, we posted a few months ago about being published in How magazine and now we can say we’ve been published internationally as well. The Quote Hook was featured in not one but two great Dutch magazines! We’re so excited to be in 101 Woonideeen (101 Living Ideas) and Eigen Huis & Interieur! They are both amazing magazines and great resources for home decor inspiration.
HOW Design
Exciting news to share! Blend Design was in the latest edition of HOW Design magazine! It’s such a great graphic design magazine. I remember reading it quite a bit through the years so it’s an honor to be mentioned in their article about the great typographic products that exist, including our Quote Hook.
